My current work reflects my focus on a single moment in time. Often based upon a photograph I’ve taken, I let that moment evolve as I paint it. I delve deeper into the image through color choices, the energy or calm of brush strokes, and particular elements that accompany that memory.

and then commissioned me to paint it enhanced by Birches.
I have always been interested in art. Graduated with honors from Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.
Was Creative Director at Trinity College, Hartford, CT, for too many years.
Now I want to do what I was
always meant to do....
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, watercolors, egg tempera, and photography. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many
of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature.
At times, the resulting painting is visually different from the initial photograph, however, I capture the emotion of the moment I took the photo.
